That’s true.
The transmission is another issue, but the seller indicates no issues there.
Then there’s ABC suspension.
Hell, if you just have to change a dozen spark plugs out, you’re looking at a grand lol

That is one of the most convoluted reasons to get into another profession. I love it!
I’d want to borrow it so I can use it but not bear the costs of maintenance and repair. If it breaks while I have it, I’m calling your insurance pretending to be you.
About the Corvette - I’ll let you know when I’m homeless.

The purchase price is just the first payment.
I think I would just save up (should be much easier with the return of trickle down, right) and find a similar W221.

Head gasket failure isn’t common at all. Transmission though, absolutely. The suspension will fail and no, you cannot fix it yourself.
And it’s actually 2 dozen spark plugs. This engine is a derivative of the M275 in my 2004 S600, 24 spark plugs because twin spark.
